3rd Annual Neuter Scooter Shoot Out Golf Tournament September 19 at the Bonita Golf Club The Neuter Scooter Shoot Out supports the efforts of the Spay Neuter Action Project by providing funding to keep the Neuter Scooters in our communities. We expect to put a Full Complement of 144 golfers on the course for this year's event to raise over $25,000 for the Neuter Scooter. Date Change: Small Dog Adoptions on August 30 September 6! Don't miss the fantastic adoptables brought to you by SNAP, the Chula Vista Animal Care Facility, Muttropolis of La Jolla, and Ark Antiques of La Jolla. Help our incredibly sweet adoptable dogs from the South Bay relocate to the shores of La Jolla! Our volunteers will walk the dogs between Muttropolis and Ark Antiques. We'll see you between noon and 3pm on Saturday, September 6 at: Muttropolis, 7755 Girard Ave & Ark Antiques, 7643 Girard Ave in La Jolla. Kids Teens Parents: Read for a Reason Attention kids of all ages (and parents): This summer, read books to "bug" pets, and keep them from getting lost! Set a reading goal and help pets all over the county get a free special microchip. The little "bug" will help to identify pets that get picked up after getting lost. Your goal is to spend time reading or listening to someone else read to you: 5 hours for kids aged birth-kindergarten; 10 hours for 1st graders to teens. Record your reading time online. Don't forget to check out photos of the pets you helped "bug" and keep safe this summer.
